This past weekend Sonny Moore aka Skrillex took over one of the most beautiful venues in North America for two nights in a row. Dispite the shootings the previous night at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Skrillex was able to pack the place full both nights to put on an incredible show.

Have you ever wondered what it was like to see your favorite DJ at a club or any venue even though they are from the other side of the world? Well Mixify has brought Clubcast to life, a 2 way live video feed that brings DJ’s anywhere in the world from their own home.
Clubcast relays 2 way life video feed from the DJ to the crowd and from the crowd to the DJ so they can see the reactions of the crows during their set. The feed relays high quality video as well as high quality audio to the clubs. Since the video feed is 2 way, the DJ can interact with the crowd the entire time. Mixify’s goal is to bring top DJ’s to what ever venue for a cheaper cost with the new clubcast.
A lot of people are against this idea, especially because there is really no “live” interaction there. Even though it is streamed in real time, going to a venue to watch a screen really is not why you are there. Unless you do not care for the actual DJ and are there to just dance and get trashed.
Watch this video here of clubcast in action. Artists such as Tommy Trash and Congorock seem to be onboard with this new idea.
For the past few weeks, the Verge Campus tour has been kicking some college butt up and down the east coast. Put together by Emuze and Karmaloop, Krewella has been headlining this years tour. Last year college students got to see the ever so popular Steve Aoki headline, and this year these students get to witness the rising stars of Krewella.
This Saturday, we have the opportunity to cover the Verge Campus show at Babson College in Wellesley MA. This is a private show and only for Babson students but there are shows along the tour that is open to the public to attend. Growing up just minutes away from Babson College, I never thought of it as a party school, but this Saturday I will get to decide for myself whether or not this is true.
Stay tuned for a full review and photographs of this event!

Ever wonder what it was like to be hit by a freight train? Well seeing Excision live will bring you just a little closer to that feeling. We had the opportunity to witness one of the bassiest shows we have ever witnessed/felt. Aside from Datsik, Excision has to be one of the most energetic shows to date when it comes to the bass culture.

Todays EDM scene is flooded with so much main stream music house and techno that it is amazing when you get to wintess something from artists like Excision. Accompanied by his Executioner stage setup and production, Canadian bass junkie Excision brought with him 150,000 watts of bass. Last time we got hit with this setup was with Datsik during his Digital Assassins tour.
The evening started with some great supporting artists like Ill Gates and DirtyPhonics. Being a DirtyPhonics fan for a while now, I was almost more excited to see them live than Excision. But it made my night just being able to see them both in one sitting.

Ill admit it, I love bass. Who doesn’t love to get hit with a huge drop? As I stood in the pit waiting for the set to start, the opening track came on with just a tone. I found myself standing right next to the subwoofers and could feel my whole body shaking. To me, it was like being a little kid in the candy store, except the candy was bass drops.
With tons of energy and insane visuals, Excision brought tracks like Get Stupid any many more. With the venue sold out, it was hard to even move 2 feet without having to shove someone out of the way to get anywhere. But for me to be able to photography an artists that brings such intensity to their sets it was very worth it. For all of you who have not had a chance to check out Excision live, you need to next time he comes around your area.

PLUR, that is what the electronic dance music culture say they live by. But after last nights incident of day 2 at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, PLUR seems to be a phrase of the past. For those of you who do not know what PLUR means, it stands for Piece, Love, Unity, and Respect.

Last night, a 28 year old security guard working Ultra was trampled by a mob of people when they started hopping the fence into Ultra because they did not have tickets to get in. This resulted in the fence collapsing on top of her and people still stampeded over her to get in with no remorse as to what was going on. The security guard, is now in critical condition, suffering from severe head trauma and a broken leg.
City officials have made it public that Ultra Music Festival will no longer be welcome back to Miami ever again. So is this really the end to one of the biggest festivals in the U.S? It very well could be, the Mayor of Miami seems very adamant about not allowing Ultra back.

After a long wait, the weekend of Ultra Music Festival Miami has already come and is down to one day left. With Avicii scheduled to headline day 2 of the festival, there was a last minute change due to an emergency surgery that had to take place. The man known for trolling a.k.a Deadmau5 then took the reigns to headline day 2, and he did just that with a bang.
Many people are starting to get sick of all the mainstream and over played electronic music that we now hear everywhere. Deadmau5, one of those producers that is getting sick of the way this music industry has gone, completely trolled Ultra Music Festival with a set that will be unforgettable. For most headlining sets, that is when it gets the loudest, and the craziest, but Deadmau5 did the opposite and went with a set that was just not that lively.
Here at EDM Pulse, we love Deadmau5 for what he has brought to the EDM industry and his music, and the way he executed tonight seemed to be just him trolling the industry. One way we could tell this was an act of trolling, was when he brought out the Ol’ McDonald remix of Animals. This isn’t the first time this track has been played, but even the first time it was played, it was discussed as a way to just express that this mainstream music is starting to turn into a joke.
